RESEARCH AFRICA

This project exposes students to a career as a conservation researcher. Students will get to experience all aspects of a research project, from design to writing up as well as all the challenges that go with this. This gives students exposure to the reasoning behind research questions, the selection of research methods and the interpretation of results to advise conservation efforts. This serves as excellent preparations for final year or honours dissertations.
The focus of the expedition is on practical experience. Lectures are flexible and depend on the knowledge base of the students. Though some ecological background facilitates field time, the programme is applicable for first-year students.
The main goal is for students to gain a complete understanding of the scientific method.
